CITY, STATE AND ZIP CODE ________________________________________________________-______
The following agreement has been made on the _____day of _______ in the year of _______.
Puppy Information: Sex_____, Color___________________, DOB ________________,
AKC Litter # or AKC Registration # __________________________________________
Dam Name _______________________________ Sire Name __________________________________
Buyer has agreed to pay the sale price of $_________Deposit Amount $___________ Paid on _______
Balance Due (Shipping/Puppy Price) ______________ Balance due on or before___________________
Buyer understands that deposit, and all monies paid are Non-Refundable &Non-Transferable, unless something happens to the puppy in my care. Buyer understands that the deposit is due 24 hours after you give the seller a "definite yes" to hold the puppy (dog). The balance including shipping cost is due
1 week after the deposit is paid. If you do not pay the balance for whatever reason all deposit monies paid toward the puppy will be lost by the buyer, and the seller will place the puppy back up for sale.
Buyer understands and agrees that any puppy purchased with full AKC registration should have OKEMA as the prefix to their AKC registered name (This choice is up to the Sellers discretion).
_____This puppy has been evaluated by the seller to be a show/breeding prospect, and is being sold with Full AKC Registration. However, this does not in any way guarantee you a show or breeding dog, but a puppy that, at time of sale, appeared to have show/breeding potential. If at any time the seller is made aware that the buyer is not showing the puppy and their sole purpose of getting the puppy is to capitallize on CH genetics, the puppy must be returned to the Seller at the buyers expense. AKC records can be checked to see if the puppy is being shown, if not the buyer agrees to spay or neuter said puppy or return said puppy to the seller at the buyers expense.
_____This puppy is being sold for pet purposes only, with limited or no AKC registration (Sellers Discretion), and is not intended for breeding. Puppy must be spay/neutered at 6 months of age.
_____ It is agreed that this puppy should be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age, and limited AKC papers will be provided upon proof of such (Sellers Discretion).
Seller warrants the following: Puppy is in sound health at time of sale, and should be inspected by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of arrival. Not having the puppy examined within this time period voids the guarantee. Seller guarantees the puppy to be free of Parvo and/or Distemper for a period of 5 days. If puppy is found to have either/or, the buyer is to contact the seller within 24 hours of this finding. Not doing so will null/void the guarantee. Seller has the option of asking for the return of the puppy, and if requested, buyer must return puppy at his/her expense within 48 hours. Seller will replace said puppy upon receiving a signed vet statement of such findings, and after return of all original paperwork, signed back over to seller. Seller will replace said puppy when one of equal value becomes available. Again, Vet & Shipping Expenses Are The Responsibility of the Buyer.
Seller does not warrant against the following:
Hypoglycemia – under no condition is the seller responsible for the loss or death due to hypoglycemia.
Molera – It is acceptable for the Chihuahua to have a molera, and should not be considered a flaw (you can find supporting information on the Chihuahua Club of America Website and the AKC Website).
Luxating Patella’s – If buyer has bought the puppy for breeding/show, and finds puppy to have severe luxation (grade 3-4) within 12 months of purchase, buyer will offer replacement upon return of puppy & all documents signed over to seller. I do not offer a guarantee on patellas for puppies sold as pet only. Buyer pays all shipping and vet fees.
Coccidia/Giardia – Many puppies are prone to outbreak of either coccidia and/or giardia under stressful circumstances. The symptoms can arise in a 12 hour period, and cannot always be prevented by the seller, because there are no signs until the puppy is stressed, and the immune system drops. All precautions have been made (give Albon and Zole 7 days/each day before shipping), but the buyer should take the puppy to the vet immediately if the puppy develops unusual stool, begins vomiting, or has loss of appetite.
Backward Sneezing – This is a common thing in Chihuahuas when they get excited, and has not been found to impose a health risk, but can get your attention, generally there is no need for alarm.
There is no guarantee on SIZE, COLOR, COAT, OR BREED ABILITY OF THIS PUPPY.
Buyer warrants that he/she will not knowingly offer this puppy or any of its offspring to brokers, pet shops, or puppy mills. If buyer is found to be selling the dog, or puppies in such a way, buyer agrees to incur a $1,000 penalty for each puppy found to be sold this way.
If the buyer ever needs to find the puppy a new home, buyer will give seller first option to buy the puppy back. Under no circumstances will this puppy/dog be surrendered to a shelter or put to sleep without first consenting with the seller. To ship the puppy/dog back will be at the buyer’s expense.
There are no other guarantees/warranties given, expressed or written, other than those stated in the above contract. Any changes must be made on paper, and signed by both parties. Should any disputes arise with the buyer/seller that cannot be resolved between the parties; either party may seek resolution through legal means. It is agreed by both parties, (buyer/seller) jurisdiction will be within the State of Oklahoma.
I have read, understand, and agree to the above terms and conditions. I am of legal age within the State I reside to not be considered a “Minor”.

SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT
The following agreement is between Steven Buie (breeder), hereafter referred to as “Seller” and _____________________________, and hereafter referred to as “Purchaser”, residing at ________________________________________________________________________________.
In consideration of the purchase price of $___________dollars the Seller transfers all rights in fee simple determinable, privileges and responsibilities associated with the ownership of the female___-male____ puppy (Adult) of the Chihuahua breed to Purchaser as of the date and time specified below with the following conditions subsequent.
Color_______________________________ Sex________________
Reg No. or litter reg. No. ________________________________________________________
Sire’s Name and AKC No._________________________________________________________
Dam’s Name and AKC No. _________________________________________________________
Name of dog __________________________________________________________________
AVID Microchip ID NO. ___________________________________________________________
Purchaser agrees to spay/neuter the puppy (or adult) dog before it reaches 6 months of age . If you purchase an Adult dog spay/neuter must be done by a licensed Vet and the Vet is to verify the microchip matches the dog having the procedure done. If Purchaser fails to neuter/spay this puppy/Adult dog and to provide proof to the Seller by 6 months of age (Adult is one (1) month after taking possession, if not already spay/neutered), rights and ownership of the dog will automatically terminate and revert back to the Seller who may immediately assume possession of the dog. The Purchaser will pay Seller’s reasonable attorney’s fees for recovery of the dog. If the dog is not in good health the Purchaser will be held responsible for Vet bills to bring dog back to health. It is understood by all parties to this agreement that this puppy (adult) of the above description is of pet quality. Purchaser acknowledges and agrees that this dog will be registered by limited registration or no AKC papers (Sellers Discretion). In the event that the purchaser does not have the puppy (adult) properly neutered/spay, any offspring issuing from this pet-quality puppy (adult) are not eligible for registration with AKC (Limited) or at my discretion I provide no AKC papers to protect my genetic show line from getting into the hands of hobby breeders or puppy mills, for the sole purpose of exploiting the CH genetics for monetary gain.
When to spay/neuter: Generally this should be done when the puppy has reached at least 5-6 months for the female and 4-6 months for the male. The older the dog, the more able it will be to withstand the anesthesia. There is no need to wait for a female to have her first heat cycle before she is spay. In fact, you can avoid the problems associated with estrus by spaying her before this occurs. There is also no need to wait for the male to become sexually mature. Why spay/neuter: Fixing your dog prevents pregnancy and the birth of unwanted puppies. It avoids the need to restrain the dog during estrus; it keeps both sexes from roaming away from your home in search of a mate. It reduces the tendency of male dogs to urinate in the house, marking his territory. Additionally, it avoids reproductive-related problems such as tumors, pyometra, false pregnancy, prostate infections, and old age cancers.
Why should this dog be spayed/neutered? Any puppy sold as a pet should not be bred. This is simply for the improvement and maintenance of the breeding line for Chihuahuas. Breeders have striven for years to select and perfect the quality of Chihuahuas (to the AKC standard). They are bred not only for their companionship but the overall health of the dog. Dogs are eligible for a breeding program only if they are able to reproduce either their own quality or better quality in each successive generation. Breeding is not done casually nor is it a moneymaking venture. It is not a hobby and is very time consuming and energy demanding. By demanding that this pet quality puppy (adult) be spay/neutered, it avoids mass-production of average quality Chihuahuas, controls the already overblown dog populations, and improves the overall fitness of the purebred line. This does not mean that this puppy (adult) is an inferior dog. This dog is as capable as any of its littermates of becoming a lovable, well trained, and perfectly happy dog. Given the proper amount of love and attention, nothing should prevent this dog from becoming an excellent companion and family member.
We the undersigned have read and understood and agree with the terms of this contract.
*Buyer has been made aware that if they provide the seller with spay/neuter information more than 1 year after the (litter it is from) litter is registered with the AKC, that the AKC may charge additional registration fees to the buyer or refuse to register the dog. Seller has no control of determinations or fees charged by the AKC. Initials of Buyer________.
